The AMITALIA Association, committed to organising events for the spread of Italian culture around the world, continues to bring great Italian culture to Switzerland. Launched in 2017 in Crans-Montana, the initiative showcases the extraordinary heritage of Italian beauty and “know-how” through a multidisciplinary dialogue aimed at all lovers of Italian language and culture.
On 25 July, in collaboration with the Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Zurigo (Italian Cultural Institute in Zurich), a new film programme returns with previously unseen film-events dedicated to art and fashion.
The cycle opens with VOLEVO NASCONDERMI (2020), a film about the life of Antonio Ligabue, the naive painter from Emilia turned away by Switzerland, who, thanks to art, builds his identity and his will for redemption.
The film won the Silver Bear in Berlin (2020) and seven David di Donatello awards (2021).
The film will be introduced by Christophe Flubacher, art historian.
