Sometimes the most beautiful stories are born almost by chance, from a choice made at seventeen in a new land. Antonio Azzato arrived in Switzerland in 1997, leaving Basilicata behind and bringing with him little more than the desire to build something of his own. "When I arrived here I didn't even know what a car was," he says with a smile. "My father had a small one and for us it was already something special." Yet, having to choose a trade between electrician, plumber and mechanic, he decided to bet precisely on engines. Not out of vocation, at first, but as a personal challenge: "I told myself, if I do this thing, I commit until I do it well." And so it was.
After a car mechanics course at Enaip and fifteen years of hard graft in an all-makes garage, where he learned to manage the work as if it were already his own, Antonio took the big leap. First five years in Baden, then, when the circle of customers had become too big for those spaces, he found almost by chance the warehouse in Spreitenbach where Allesauto.ch GmbH is based today. "There was only the roof, everything else was raw. I started from scratch. But here I feel it is truly mine." The garage has been in its new home for three and a half years, and the leap in quality shows: ample spaces, modern equipment, a strategic location a stone's throw from the motorway and the Tivoli shopping centre.
Anyone who walks into Allesauto notices it immediately: Antonio is not one to back down. "My strong point is saying yes," he admits. "Even when it's not the right moment to provide the service, because there's too much work, somehow I always find a way." It is this total availability, combined with a quality of work that admits no compromise, that has made the garage grow impressively over the last three years. "It feels like two different eras have passed between then and now."
And the customers? Of all kinds, just the way he likes it. "I like having a completely varied clientele, I don't select." The cars Antonio looks after range from everyday runabouts to supercars, passing through family SUVs. For motorbikes, on the other hand, he has chosen to focus exclusively on the tyre service, his speciality alongside suspension set-up and wheel alignment, a field in which word of mouth among customers and garages in the area has made him a point of reference throughout the canton.
A big helping hand to growth has also come from Instagram, where the page @allesauto.ch today counts over 17,400 followers. "I look after it myself with the photos, then my brother-in-law helps me write the texts," Antonio says with the simplicity of someone who doesn't show off. A small family team effort that has turned a social profile into a real shop window, capable of bringing customers from all over German-speaking Switzerland.
Even though he doesn't ride a motorbike, Antonio is a great fan of MotoGP and Superbike, to the point of sponsoring rider Aegerter in the Superbike world championship. It is that kind of love for engines that goes beyond the workshop, lived on weekends in front of the TV and breathed between the walls of the garage, where every vehicle, from tracked machines to supercars, receives the same meticulous attention.

Allesauto has built its reputation on competitive, transparent prices with no surprises on the invoice. "I'm someone who doesn't trust easily, I need to be at the centre of everything," explains Antonio Azzato. "I want every car that leaves here to be done as I would do it for myself."
Confirming this, besides the customers, is also the word of mouth among the other garages in the area, which send Antonio the set-up and alignment jobs too complex for their equipment: professional recognition worth more than any review.

Because the truth, in the end, is the one Antonio himself confesses with a hint of restrained pride: "As a kid I used to look at the articles in the magazines and think, maybe one day that will be me. And now it is. In my own small way, I made it." And seeing the work that comes out of that Spreitenbach warehouse, it doesn't look small at all.
