Since 1921, every single Moto Guzzi has been assembled by hand, with artisan care and love for the product, at the Mandello del Lario factory. This authenticity is the distinctive trait of every Moto Guzzi and the value recognised and shared by the ten authors. It is a common thread that binds those who love Moto Guzzi and what these motorcycles represent. Thus, ideally brought together to talk about their love for the motorcycle, are writer Melissa Holbrook Pierson, actor Ewan McGregor, architect Greg Lynn, journalists Marco Masetti, Mat Oxley and Akira Nishimura, DJ Ringo, designer Tom Dixon, astronaut Paolo Nespoli and Jeffrey Schnapp, the Harvard professor who also edited the volume.
Moto Guzzi rereads its first hundred years with the contribution of these celebrated authors, while preparing the next hundred, with a completely renewed motorcycle range and numerous projects about to blossom. Among them stand out the Moto Guzzi World Days, postponed to 2022 due to the pandemic, which will attract thousands of fans from all over the world to Mandello del Lario.
Moto Guzzi's centenary represents a moment of great pride for the whole of Italian industry. The brand has accompanied Italy through its economic growth and social development. Its motorcycles have become part of popular culture heritage and today continue to thrill thousands of motorcyclists all over the world. From 12 October 2021 the 224-page volume is available in bookshops at a price of around CHF 111.00.
To share the anniversary with Moto Guzzi customers, OFRAG Vertriebsgesellschaft has planned a special gesture: everyone who has bought or will buy a new Moto Guzzi in the current year will receive a copy of this exclusive book as a gift.
