In the world of Swiss karting, the surname Epifanio carries a story that goes beyond results on the track. Romeo, eleven years old, is the younger brother of Elia Epifanio, the young driver who passed away in 2023 due to sepsis, just as his career was blossoming. Romeo started racing at five, often side by side with Elia. That informal school, made of shared training sessions and brotherly competition, has stayed within him.
This year Romeo made an important leap: from the Super Mini category to the OK Junior of the Swiss Karting Championship. It is not a trivial step. The OK Junior requires precise driving and good physical preparation; the karts are bigger, the engines more powerful, the margins for error tighter. Romeo is among the youngest drivers on the grid, which makes his adaptation even more significant.
The first two races of the season have already given encouraging signs. The declared goal for this season is to build confidence with the kart and understand the rhythms of the national championship, a solid foundation before raising the bar.

The programme also includes international appearances: races of the WSK circuit and the Rok Championship, among the most competitive series in the category. Experiences that will serve to measure his level outside the national comfort zone and accelerate his growth.
Romeo does not race to fulfil a legacy. He races because he loves it, because it is the place where he feels most himself, as it was for his brother. The bond with Elia does not need to be declared at every corner: it is simply there, in the way he puts on his helmet and takes to the track.
Our publication also wanted to be part of this story. tuttoitalia.ch has supported Romeo with a donation, believing in the value of this passion and in the path the young driver is building race after race. The sign of this bond is visible on Romeo's racing suit, which carries the tuttoitalia.ch logo.

Anyone wishing to join this initiative as a sponsor or donor can contact Franco Epifanio, Romeo's grandfather and promoter of the project, on +41 79 402 96 85 ... the season has only just begun!
