But every now and then an event comes along that, while not being "Italian", is so close to our spirit and our soul that it deserves a special place on our pages.
The Caliente! Latin Music Festival is one of them. Because between Italians and Latin Americans there is something special: the passion for music, food, dancing, family, life lived with intensity. And every year, on Zurich's Kasernenareal, thousands of Italians find themselves side by side with the Latin community, and the magic happens: friendships, laughter, loves, encounters that sometimes change lives.
That is why tuttoitalia.ch enthusiastically promotes the 29th Caliente! Latin Music Festival, from 3 to 5 July 2026 in Zurich. Consider it a tip between friends.
The 2026 edition promises to exceed every expectation: no fewer than 15 international live acts will take to the main stage, the Mainstage on the large Kasernenwiese, bringing the best of the music scene of South America, Central America, the Caribbean and Europe. Alongside them, 20 soundsystems with the 40 best DJs of salsa, reggaeton, bachata and electro latino, plus numerous percussion and batucada groups that will keep the crowd dancing for three uninterrupted days.
The surprises do not end there: dance and folklore shows from various Latin American countries will delight visitors in every corner of the festival, creating a unique and engaging atmosphere.
Born back in 1995 together with the festival itself, the Mercado Mundial is by now an institution. A Street Food Garden with dozens of stands will offer the most authentic specialities from all over the world, from Mexican tacos to Caribbean dishes, from Brazilian flavours to Mediterranean cuisines. To complete the experience, tropical bars with exotic cocktails and refined drinks for a toast under the Zurich stars.
Founded in 1995, Caliente! has grown to become Switzerland's biggest Latin music festival, attracting tens of thousands of visitors every year from all over the country and abroad. The 2025 edition, the 28th, had already thrilled the public with a special Electro Latin area and a celebratory concert dedicated to 40 years of Brazilian Axé, confirming the festival's ability to renew itself while remaining true to its roots.
