Lorenzo Jovanotti at the 60th edition of the Montreux Jazz Festival

L'Arca di Loré

In 2026, Jovanotti sets the world in motion again. He pedals, sings, dreams and travels through countries and cities like an explorer of the present. Every journey is different from the last, because for him there is only one rule: never to repeat himself. Lorenzo invents new routes, shifts perspective, reshuffles the cards and each time turns music into an experiment in happiness, a way of reminding us that to move is to live, and that music helps us do it better.

The new project is L'Arca di Loré, a musical and symbolic journey, a travelling celebration that in 2026 will take Jova around the world all the way to Rome, where the journey will end, or perhaps begin again, with Jova al Massimo, at the Circo Massimo, in his home city, the Ark's final landing place.

It is a project that brings together new music, bike rides, encounters, adventure, joy, dancing and festivities, and it is conceived as a collective story written by all those who climb aboard the Ark and wish to take part.

A tour of the world, and then of Italy, like a new Cantagiro, but on a bicycle: a caravan of wheels and songs, of rhythm and breath. After PalaJova, Lorenzo returns to the heart of music by choosing the 60th edition of the Montreux Jazz Festival, as part of a series of dates already planned in various cities around the world such as Adelaide, Brisbane, Barcelona and Monaco, which represent the creative heart of the contemporary music scene: places where the programming is alive, curious and surprising, and where music blends with culture, technology and imagination.

He does not return to places where everything is already written, but to those where something new can happen every evening. He does not seek the big arenas, but the spaces where music is real, where it is created and re-created, where the unexpected is the rule and the game is to start again from scratch each time. His concert is scheduled at the Auditorium Stravinski in Montreux, a magical and iconic venue that seats 4000 people.

It is a journey born from the desire to keep the fire of discovery burning, to look at music from different perspectives, and never to take his own place in the music world for granted. To always stay on the ridge, the place that has always suited Lorenzo best.

Lorenzo's tour will end in Italy with the iconic Jova Beach Party, which features nine dates in different cities during the months of August and September.

The Montreux Jazz Festival programme

From 3 to 18 July 2026, the Montreux Jazz Festival will celebrate its 60th edition in a brand-new Convention Centre. After a two-year break, festivalgoers can once again experience its iconic venues: the Auditorium Stravinski and the Montreux Jazz Lab.

This year the programme spans generations, styles and continents, bringing together emerging voices, pop-culture icons and legendary figures of jazz, rock and hip-hop. This anniversary edition will also feature tributes to the Festival's history. The line-up includes, among others, Fresh Mula, a rising star of Italian jazz rap, who will perform before Jovanotti, on the same stage and on the same day.

After two years of open-air events, the Montreux Jazz Festival celebrates its 60th edition with a return to what has always been its hallmark: the exceptional acoustics, comfort and intimacy of its iconic venues. At the same time, recent editions have provided valuable insights, and the Festival will keep its extended route along the lake, offering a wide choice of dining options and free stops along the waterfront.

The 60th edition, brought to life by the dazzling artworks of Kévin Germanier, presents a bold and colourful range. Expect special projects, exclusive shows and evenings steeped in symbolism and history.

The Auditorium Stravinski will be completely reinvented with a stage design never seen before in Montreux. For the opening, RAYE will be joined by a host of special guests for a show created exclusively for the Festival, co-created with Audemars Piguet.

The Montreux Jazz Lab opens and closes its programme with two singular projects. Opening the edition is Eddy de Pretto, who joins forces with choreographer Maud Le Pladec for Lonely Club, a hybrid creation blending music and contemporary dance. To close the Lab, the pioneering figure of French disco Cerrone presents Disco Symphonic, an orchestral reworking of his timeless hits. For two truly special evenings, the Lab will turn into an American jazz club.

Marcus Miller honours the centenary of Miles Davis's birth, reuniting the musicians who played on the album We Want Miles!, while Charles Lloyd celebrates 60 years since his appearance at the Festival's very first edition.

During the festival there will be many other major highlights: Deep Purple, celebrating 30 years since their first MJF in 1996, Billy Cobham (eleven concerts since 1974), Sting (eight concerts since 1990), Van Morrison (twenty-one concerts since 1974) and folk-music legend James Taylor.

Returning to the Convention Centre once again brings a familiar challenge for Montreux: convincing the best artists to adapt their shows for the 4000-seat Auditorium Stravinski.

In addition, this year the Festival will host some of the biggest names in pop, many of whom will perform at only a handful of European dates this summer. Among them, PinkPantheress makes her Swiss debut, while Tyla, Giveon and Conan Gray will perform for the first time in French-speaking Switzerland. This summer, around forty artists, more than half of the Festival's line-up, will be Swiss exclusives, including The Roots, Vulfpeck, John Legend, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds and Moby.

Tickets for the concert by Lorenzo Jovanotti and Fresh Mula are available at this link, while tickets for all the other concerts are available on the official Montreux Jazz Festival programme.
