More than two centuries after his birth, the emotions that emanate from his masterpieces remain alive, relevant, and profoundly human. Characters such as Violetta Valéry from La Traviata, Aida, or Rigoletto embody love, tragedy, passion, and inner strength, elements that find new life in this exceptional production.

The Giuseppe Verdi Gala program offers audiences the most famous pieces from Verdi’s operatic repertoire, featuring excerpts from La Traviata, Rigoletto, Aida, Il Trovatore, Nabucco, and I Vespri Siciliani. Iconic arias, duets, and ensembles will be interwoven with unforgettable choruses such as “Va pensiero” from Nabucco and the Triumphal March from Aida, accompanied by refined staging, period costumes, and original choreography.

This production is presented by Opera Polska, an orchestra and choir founded in 1989 by Maestro Marek Tracz in collaboration with Wrocław Television. The ensemble brings together some of the finest musicians and singers from major opera houses in Poland and across Europe, creating an artistic project of the highest quality.

The Giuseppe Verdi Gala is not merely a concert but a journey through Italian history and culture, a tribute to a composer who masterfully united art and civic engagement. As early as 1842, with the chorus Va pensiero, Verdi gave voice to the Italian national spirit, and in 1874, he was appointed Senator of the Kingdom of Italy for his contribution to the nation.
