If there is a music worthy of the interesting times we have been given to live in, according to the paradoxical Chinese wish, that music is jazz: a universal language, yet able to modulate itself in the particular, to welcome into its immense river the tributaries of distant musics, to merge together the most ambitious local torrents, to pick up the threads of a long tradition and to keep finding new ways to break them, tie them again and start over from higher up: new weaves, new forms, new dreams. As Herbie Hancock says, all the reasons of the human are there in jazz. That is why, at every edition of JAZZMI, we are proud to place Milan at the centre of jazz, to make a great music and a great city vibrate in unison, to let the residents, the guests and the visitors of a capital of the arts feel the vitality of the contemporary jazz scene. This eighth edition in extra-large format is gathering compliments from the major international festivals for the growing number of concerts and for the quality of the artists. And that is exactly where we want to take Milan and its jazz festival. To the top of the world. - Luciano Linzi and Titti Santini | artistic directors of JAZZMI

Among the guests who will perform there will be Paolo Fresu and Omar Susa, already on stage in Geneva in 2022 (reference to a past article www.tuttoitalia.ch/news/jazz-paolo-fresu-omar-sosa-in-concerto-allalhambra-di-ginevra)
Moreover, among the various Italian artists on stage, we highlight Roberto GATTO and Sergio CAMMARIERE:

An event that spreads and branches out, turning every corner of Milan into a jazz epicentre and creating a unique chance to discover all the facets and colours of this extraordinary musical genre. A broad and varied edition that maps out a music without borders and tells our time through the many forms that jazz takes in every part of the world. JAZZMI is a festival that wants to be an occasion for encounter and harmony between cultures, under the banner of the universal language of jazz.
JAZZMI aims to represent a music scene made up of prestigious names from the Italian and international jazz landscape, but also of emerging talents and young Milanese bands.
