The Italian language and culture are part of each of us: a journey to discover one's roots

The Italian language and culture courses are organised and run by the school office of the consulates. They constitute an offer that complements the teaching of the Swiss school system and are subject to specific regulation by the cantonal education councils, which recommend attending them for the development of intercultural skills and multilingualism.

The Italian language and culture are part of each of us: a journey to discover one's roots

Italian is one of the most beautiful languages there are. It is the language of the great poets, of great loves, nicknamed the “sweet language”, which made the great figures of the past dream! But then why lose the privilege of cultivating it and learning it as well as possible? Why not allow our children to keep this language alive, and let it fade away just because one is far from Italy? We almost have a duty to do so. The commitment must be to give Italian the place it deserves within the lives of our children. How to do it?  There are many courses of Italian language and culture across Switzerland; you just need to choose the one that best suits our case, the one that fits us like a glove.

The Italian language and culture courses are organised and run by the school office of the consulates. They constitute an offer that complements the teaching of the Swiss school system and are subject to specific regulation by the cantonal education councils, which recommend attending them for the development of intercultural skills and multilingualism.

At the end of the courses, pupils can take language certification exams and obtain certificates of language proficiency:

CELI - Certificazione di conoscenza della lingua italiana (Università per stranieri di Perugia)
CILS - Certificazione di italiano come lingua straniera (Università per Stranieri di Siena)
PLIDA
-Progetto Lingua Italiana Dante Alighieri (Società Dante Alighieri)

In short, allowing our children to cultivate Italian, to study it as well as possible, and to acquire all the knowledge about their culture of origin is increasingly easy. The courses are truly numerous and adapt as much as possible to the needs of families.

Long live Italy and long live the Italian Language and Culture Courses
