On 27 January 2025 wine lovers have a special appointment in Zurich, thanks to the Consorzio Vini d'Abruzzo, which is organising an exclusive event dedicated to the finest wines of Abruzzo. This gathering promises to be a sensory journey through one of the most fascinating territories in Italy and will offer a wide overview of the authentic wines of Abruzzo, with their unmistakable character.
During the open table tasting, participants will have the chance to talk directly with 22 prestigious Abruzzo wineries and to discover at close hand the passion and the craftsmanship behind every bottle. It will be a unique opportunity to understand the true essence of Abruzzo wines, among which the fresh and aromatic notes of Pecorino and the rich and varied shades of Montepulciano d'Abruzzo clearly stand out.
One of the highlights of the event will be the Masterclasses led by Christian Eder, an internationally renowned expert who will guide participants through the varietal and stylistic features of the region. At 2.30 pm a session reserved for trade professionals will explore “Pecorino - the white gold of the Abruzzo hills”, while at 5.30 pm wine enthusiasts too will be able to join the Masterclass “Montepulciano d´Abruzzo - The thousand facets of a great red”, which is already completely sold out.
The walkround tasting will take place from 3.00 pm to 4.30 pm, exclusively for trade professionals, before opening to the general public until 8.00 pm.
