The Lugana DOC welcomes you with a quintet of extraordinary beauty from the municipalities of Sirmione, Desenzano, Pozzolengo, Lonato and Peschiera. They form the picturesque pentagon of the wine region on the southern tip of Lake Garda and present themselves as idyllic landmarks of the DOC. Living traditions and the beat of time visibly merge into a Mediterranean flow. Always staying up to date with the latest knowledge is also the maxim of the wineries. They combine the experience of generations with today’s winemaking knowledge and thus continue to improve the quality of their wines. The microclimates of Lake Garda, with predominantly clay soils, make up a terroir par excellence. Only here can the Turbiana variety give the Lugana the refinement and structure that are so appreciated. It is the local variant of the Trebbiano grape and adapts perfectly to the terroir with all its facets. Little known, however, is their ageing potential, which never ceases to amaze.
