An itinerant event born to enhance the knowledge of food traditions. Street food, that is eating in an informal way, has by now become a very fashionable phenomenon, but beware, not just any food, but local and prepared according to tradition.

The protagonists of this edition are the typical regional products and the Italian culinary excellences, arranged across around 40 stands at the Stadionbrache Hardturm in Zurich (area of the old Grasshopper stadium). Typical flour-based dishes such as pasta, pizza, piadine and focacce certainly had the upper hand, but there were also numerous stands dedicated to Italian meats and to the typical sausage of various regions. All of it framed by artisanal ice cream, cannoli and Italian-style crêpes. It will certainly not be just eating a bite “on the fly”, because “Italian Food Festival” promises to become a slow-paced journey through the best flavours that our Mediterranean land offers. A gastronomic celebration where it is possible to combine conviviality, pleasure, near and far cultures, in the spirit of the oldest, most authentic and most delicious form of dining.
