Classical music is preparing to experience a moment of great intensity with “Die grosse Giuseppe Verdi Gala 2024”, a tour that will cross five Swiss cities to celebrate the legacy of one of the greatest composers of all time, Giuseppe Verdi. This extraordinary event will take place between 26 and 30 December 2024, with concerts in prestigious venues that promise to enchant music lovers and newcomers alike.
The festival will get under way on Thursday 26 December 2024 at 7.00 pm at the historic Tonhalle in St Gallen, renowned for its sublime acoustics. Here the audience will have the opportunity to immerse itself in Verdi's universe through a selection of arias and choruses taken from the composer's most celebrated works, performed by an orchestra of international standing and by renowned artists.
The journey will continue on Friday 27 December 2024 at 7.30 pm at the Victoria Hall in Geneva, an enchanting setting that will host an evening centred on the emotional power of Verdi's works. The following evening, Saturday 28 December, the celebrations will move to the Stadtcasino in Basel at 7.30 pm, with a programme that promises to bring out Verdi's skill in blending drama and melody.
