After a year of success that established him as one of the most original voices in new Italian music, Lucio Corsi is getting ready to set off on his first European club tour. The “Tour Europeo 2026” will start in January and will also stop in Switzerland: on 24 January at the Padiglione Conza in Lugano and on 1 February at the Volkshaus in Zurich.
The Tuscan singer-songwriter, coming off an unforgettable 2025, won over audiences and critics with the album Volevo essere un duro (Sugar Music), a gold record in Italy and able to climb the international charts up to sixth place in Spotify’s Global Top Album Debut. With this project Corsi won two Targhe Tenco for “Miglior canzone” and “Miglior album in assoluto”, confirming himself among the most significant names of the new songwriting scene.
His career took a turn at the 2025 Sanremo Festival, where with the song Volevo essere un duro he took second place and the Mia Martini Critics’ Award, before representing Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, where he reached a prestigious fifth place. From there the single became a European phenomenon, entering the Spotify Viral 50 charts in 23 countries and the Top 50 of Spotify and Apple Music in 16 markets.
The recognition was not limited to the audience: the international press noticed him too, with articles in outlets such as BBC, The Independent, Le Monde, El Mundo, Frankfurter Allgemeine and NDR. Even Ed Sheeran called his song “brilliant”.
Lucio Corsi, born in Tuscany, combines the depth of Italian songwriting rock with folk sounds, turning surreal atmospheres into poetry. In his live shows he brings a grotesque and visionary imagery that intertwines with rich and engaging arrangements.
