"Italian design draws inspiration from the many testimonies our country is rich in, whose legacy is a source of continuous inspiration…" Alex Terzariol, internationally renowned designer and "ambassador" of Italian design 2018.

In 1991 he founded the studio MM Design, based in Bolzano and Milan, specialised in industrial design and product engineering, which collaborates with international companies in various sectors of industrial production. MM Design consults for world-leading companies in several sectors: sports, medical, furniture, household appliances, professional equipment, machine tools, tools and work equipment.

He has won many design awards, including the Good Design 2019 in Chicago, the Good Design 2018 in Tokyo, the German Design Award 2015, the Honourable Mention of the International Compasso d'Oro 2017 dedicated to sport, the prestigious Compasso d'Oro 2014, the Italian President of the Republic Award for Innovation in 2012, the Best of the Best Red Dot 2011 and various editions of the IF Award, the Red Dot and the ADI Design Index.

Alex Terzariol taught at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan and São Paulo, at the Design Academy of Bolzano and at the IUAV in Treviso and Venice. He has been a member of international juries such as the IF Award in 2020 and 2017, the G-Mark in Tokyo in 2018, the Compasso d'Oro career award in 2016 and Focus Design in Germany from 2012 to 2015.
