A background of church music precedes the opening of the curtain, Fiorello bursts into the theatre and it is show time at once. He talks about himself, dances and sings his life as a showman in the self-mocking theme tune that launches more than two uninterrupted hours of monologues, jokes, songs, gags, exceptional duets and surprises for the audience in the stalls, who are actively involved and become part of the show and of its improvisations. With the lightness that sets him apart, Fiorello recounts the vices and virtues of our time, taking aim at social media too. Accompanied on stage by the band led by the maestro and keyboardist Enrico Cremonesi, Fiorello plays between pop and swing, inventing unusual musical encounters. He shows off his singing qualities and his innate talent for impressions. He delights the audience with unmistakable touches of Zucchero, Ramazzotti, Venditti, Mengoni, Ferro and Negramaro. During the show, the showman takes on the role of the priest, then that of the crooner and of the ordinary man dealing with the dentist, wife, daughter and an elderly but tech-savvy mother.
