An explosion of Italian spirit lit up Basel last 12 March. The Häbse theatre, with the project “Italianità in Little Italy”, became the stage for a passionate celebration of our culture, thanks to an engaging mix of live music. A journey through time, from pop to rock and by way of musica leggera, in which historic songs were reinterpreted in a modern key. Sentimental echoes from the melodies of the 1950s to the present day rang through the theatre, paying tribute to the iconic Italian voices. The beating heart of the event, the theme “Per Amore Delle Donne”, made the sixth edition a tribute to the unforgettable muse of every artist: woman.
As the year draws to a close, the final appointment, entitled “La Notte Italiana” on 12 December 2023, held the most eagerly awaited surprise: an intensely emotional solo by the group “Ancora Tenores”.
2024 will offer a new chapter of Italian spirit in Little Italy. The ultimate aim is to bring together culture, entertainment and music to create a solid bond within a community that shares not only a passion for art, but also a deep sense of belonging. All of it wrapped in the driving rhythm of Italian music.
