
On his Felicità tour (Happiness), the comedian opens with these words: “The choice to return to the boards of the stage was driven above all by the desire to be able to measure myself against the audience, because the spectator is the only true metronome of an artist’s life: to hear an applause, a pause, to look into each other’s eyes still remains the only deterrent against incommunicability, today more than ever accentuated by virtual reality.

On this artistic journey I will not be alone; accompanying me will be the maestro and composer Umberto Scipione, who will play live and mark the cinematic stages of my career. The monologues will be the occasion to tell not only the behind the scenes of these films but also the opportunity to talk about the differences between north and south, between rich and poor, and to dissect what present themselves as the new religious trends, but above all to highlight the tics and obsessions of a society divided between optimists and pessimists, between professional desperados and unemployed dreamers. All this for a single objective: to have fun together.”
